Scorpio: The Watery Sign

Scorpio is actually a watery sign and is typically linked to traits of being persevering, highly passionate, inflexible, imaginative, determined, and self-confident.

It is the eighth astrological sign in the Zodiac and is considered as a positive sign. In astrology records, it is actually one of the four fixed signs and is believed to be ruled by the planet Mars.

Generally, Scorpio individuals are born when the Sun was in the Scorpio sign. If under the sidereal zodiac, the Sun is believed to be in Scorpio approximately from November 16 through December 15. However, whenever under tropical zodiac, it is presently there closely from as early as October 23 to November 2.

Being Symbolized by a Scorpion

Scorpio being represented and symbolized by a Scorpion is often linked to Hades, Lord of the Underworld, who was known in Roman mythology as Pluto, and Orpheus from the Orpheus and Eurydice, one of the popular myths in Greek literatures. Sometimes, it is also linked to the scorpion that killed Orion and at the same time with Ares or Mars, the Greco-Roman gods.

Possible Traits

Individuals under the sign Scorpio are said to be secretive, powerful, keenly perceptive, passionate, deep, complex, analytical, inquisitive, magnetic, intense, hypnotic, sexual, perspicacious, creative, vigorous, and resourceful. Hence, because of these traits, they are as a result perfect for some detective, pathologist, surgeon, scientist, researcher, undertaker, and politician occupations.

However, on the flip side, individuals under Scorpio are prone to become extremely jealous, ambitious, controlling, possessive, aggressive, cunning and worser – too cruel as well.

Scorpio with Some Other Signs

According to some astrologers, Scorpio is compatible with Cancer, Pisces, and Scorpio if based from birth dates, birth months, birth years, position of a sign within the Sun, the Moon, Stars, or the like. In some cases, Scorpio can also be compatible with Virgo, Capricon, and Taurus.

However, these should not reflect as a single profile or reading but rather as a plain guideline and reference to compatibility associated with the qualities and elements within the Zodiac.
